Level Ten Media LLC ("Level Ten," "Selfee," "we," "our," or "us") operates the Selfee mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, how long we keep it, and the choices available to you.

To generate AI portraits, Selfee sends the photo you choose, which may contain your face and other personal data, together with your selected portrait options, to Replicate, our third-party AI processing provider. Selfee also stores account information, generation history, and generated portraits with Supabase so the App can provide account access and portrait history. Submitted photos, portrait options, and generated portraits are generally deleted after 30 days, subject to the limited exceptions described below.

This policy is intended to be read together with any in-app disclosures and permission prompts shown in Selfee.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through the Selfee mobile application, our support interactions, and related services directly operated by Level Ten Media LLC.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account and Contact Information

When you create or use a Selfee account, we may collect:

  • Email address
  • Name, if you choose to provide it
  • Account identifiers and authentication records
  • Support messages you send us

2.2 Photos, Portrait Inputs, and Generated Images

When you use Selfee’s portrait generation features, we may collect and process:

  • Photos you capture in the App or upload through the App
  • Image metadata needed to process those uploads
  • Your selected style, background, wardrobe, accessory, hair, makeup, and body-type options
  • AI-generated portraits created for your account

2.3 Face Data

Selfee processes photos that may contain your face and facial features. In this policy, "face data" means image data depicting a person’s face, including facial appearance, facial geometry visible in the image, and face-related characteristics used to create a requested portrait output.

Selfee uses face data only to:

  • Validate that a face is present and reasonably positioned when using camera capture features
  • Generate the AI portrait you requested
  • Store and display your generated portraits and related generation history in your account

Selfee does not use your face data to identify you across apps or services, build advertising profiles, or train our own facial recognition systems.

2.4 Device, Diagnostics, and Usage Data

We may automatically collect limited technical information, such as:

  • Device type, app version, and operating system
  • Crash logs, diagnostics, and error events
  • Usage and analytics events related to app performance and feature usage
  • IP address or approximate network-derived location used for security, diagnostics, and service delivery

2.5 Purchases and Subscription Data

If you make purchases or subscribe through the App, we receive subscription and transaction status information needed to manage entitlements and purchases. We do not receive your full payment card number from Apple.

3. Camera and Photo Permissions

Selfee may request access to your camera so you can capture portrait photos inside the App. You can also choose to upload photos you already have. Camera access is optional, but some features will not work unless you grant it.

You can change camera access later in your device Settings.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide the service: create, deliver, and display AI portraits you request
  • Process uploads: transmit your selected photos and generation settings to the systems needed to create the requested output
  • Maintain your account: authenticate users, store generation history, and manage credits or subscriptions
  • Operate and secure the App: detect bugs, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot failures
  • Improve the product: understand usage patterns, performance, and reliability
  • Communicate with you: send support replies, service notices, and account-related messages
  • Comply with law: satisfy legal, regulatory, accounting, and enforcement obligations

5. Face Data Disclosure

5.1 What face data Selfee collects

Selfee collects and processes photos that you choose to capture or upload, and those photos may contain your face, facial appearance, facial structure, facial landmarks visible in the image, and other face-related characteristics needed to create your requested portrait.

5.2 How Selfee uses face data

We use face data only to:

  • Confirm a face is present and appropriately framed when using capture guidance
  • Generate the AI portrait you explicitly request
  • Store, display, and manage portrait results in your account
  • Delete, restore, or support your portrait history when you request account or content actions

5.3 Third-party sharing of face data

Before Selfee sends face-containing photos and related portrait options for AI portrait generation, the App presents an in-app consent screen that explains what data is sent, who receives it, and why it is used. Selfee shares face-containing photos and related generation inputs only with service providers that help us deliver the App’s portrait-generation functionality and storage. Those providers currently include:

  • Replicate – used to process AI portrait generation requests
  • Supabase – used for account infrastructure, storage, and generation-related data associated with your account

We do not sell face data.

5.4 Storage of face data

Face data is stored as part of the photos you choose to upload, the generated portraits created from those uploads, and associated generation records. This information may be stored on our systems and on the systems of our service providers acting on our behalf.

5.5 Retention of face data

Uploaded photos, selected portrait options, and generated portraits are generally retained for up to 30 days so you can access your results and account history, unless:

  • you delete specific content earlier,
  • you delete your account earlier, or
  • a longer retention period is required by law or reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or enforcement of our agreements.

5.6 Face data is not used for unrelated purposes

We do not use face data for advertising profiling, unrelated biometric identification, or to train our own face recognition systems.

6. How and When We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as reasonably necessary to operate Selfee and as described below:

  • AI processing providers: to generate the portrait you request
  • Cloud and infrastructure providers: to host account data, generated portraits, and related application records
  • Analytics and diagnostics providers: to understand app usage, crashes, and performance
  • Subscription and purchase providers: to manage subscriptions, entitlements, and purchase status
  • Legal and compliance disclosures: if required by law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or valid governmental request
  • Business transfers: if we are involved in a merger, financing, acquisition, bankruptcy, or sale of all or part of our business
  • With your direction or consent: when you ask us to share information or explicitly agree to sharing

7. Third-Party Services We Use

Selfee currently relies on third-party providers to operate key features. Depending on how you use the App, those providers may include:

  • Replicate for AI portrait generation
  • Supabase for backend infrastructure, authentication, and storage
  • RevenueCat for subscription and purchase management
  • PostHog for product analytics and diagnostics
  • Apple for App Store purchases, platform services, and device permissions

These providers process data under their own terms and privacy commitments, subject to applicable agreements and law.

8. Data Retention

We retain different categories of information for different periods depending on why we collected it, operational needs, legal obligations, and your requests.

  • Uploaded photos, selected portrait options, and generated portraits: generally up to 30 days unless removed earlier or retention is required for legal or security reasons
  • Account records: retained while your account is active and as needed for legitimate business, tax, fraud-prevention, and legal purposes
  • Analytics and diagnostics: retained for as long as reasonably necessary to operate, debug, and improve the service
  • Support communications: retained as needed to resolve your request and maintain business records

9. Account Deletion and Content Deletion

You may request deletion of your account or delete certain content from within the App where available. When you delete your account, we will delete or de-identify personal information associated with your account, unless we need to retain certain records for legal compliance, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, security, or other permitted business purposes.

10. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information, including measures such as encrypted transmission, access controls, and secure service providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing.

You may also:

  • withdraw camera permission from your device settings,
  • choose not to upload photos,
  • decline in-app consent for AI processing, or
  • contact us to request access, deletion, or support.

12. Children's Privacy

Selfee is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

13. International Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than the one in which you live. Those countries may have data-protection laws that differ from those in your jurisdiction. Where required, we take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.

14. California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act and related laws, including rights to know, access, delete, and correct certain personal information, subject to legal exceptions.

15. GDPR / UK GDPR Information

If you are located in the European Economic Area, Switzerland, or the United Kingdom, our legal bases for processing may include:

  • Performance of a contract – to provide the App and portrait-generation services you request
  • Consent – where we ask for your permission, including certain photo and AI-processing disclosures
  • Legitimate interests – to secure, maintain, and improve the App
  • Legal obligation – where processing is necessary to comply with law

16. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and revise the "Last Updated" date below. If required by law, we will provide additional notice.
